NEW TO REAL LIFE?
Thanks for stopping by our YouVersion! If you're searching for a church home, we're the place for you. We would love for you to plan your visit in-person with us. Whether you've never been to church before, or grew up attending church weekly, plan your experience to join us this weekend!
https://reallifechurchkc.com/planyourvisitSeries Description:
We all have questions we carry deep inside — the ones we whisper in the dark but never say out loud. Questions about God, pain, relationships, and eternity. Questions that make us wonder if we’re the only ones thinking them.
The truth is, you’re not alone. We’re all wrestling with “elephants in the room” — questions everyone’s thinking but no one dares to ask. And while many churches have avoided them, God isn’t afraid of your questions. He welcomes your doubts, your struggles, and your pain.
In this 4-part series, The Elephant in the Room, we’ll tackle some of the hardest, most honest questions people ask about faith:
This isn’t about easy answers or church clichés. It’s about discovering a God who meets us in our brokenness, wrestles with us in our doubts, and leads us to freedom, forgiveness, and hope.
Come with your questions. Come with your hurts. There’s room for you here.

Message Description:
We all feel it at times—the pull to go through life alone. Maybe it feels safer. Maybe past hurt makes you hesitant. Maybe it just feels easier to keep to ourselves.
But here’s the truth: you weren’t made to do life alone.
This Sunday at Real Life, we’re asking the question: “Do I really need to do life together?” We’ll be looking at God’s design for community, and how some of the most powerful words we can ever hear are simply: “Me too.”
Here’s what’s happening:
✅A message that meets us in the tension of isolation vs. community—and why God’s first action for the church was to be together.
✅Real stories from Life Group leaders about the power of finding healing and strength in relationships.
✅Opportunities to connect and step into a Life Group this fall—don’t wait for someone to find you; come discover the gift of being known.
This could be your season to move from isolation to community. Don’t miss it.

Do I really need to do LIFE TOGETHER?
What would it look like to move from ISOLATION TO COMMUNITY?
HEALING CANNOT HAPPEN APART FROM OTHERS…..
MAKE FALL 2025 YOUR SEASON
TALK IT OVER
Breaking the Ice
1. When you hear the phrase “doing life together,” what feelings or memories come to mind? Excitement? Fear? Resistance? Why?
2. Share a time when someone said, “Me too,” and it made you feel less alone. How did that moment impact you?
The Tension of Isolation
3. What are some of the reasons people (maybe even you) are tempted to do life alone instead of in community?
4. Which of these lies feels most relatable to you: “No one struggles like I do,”“I’m too messed up for God to use,” or “No one would understand”?
God’s Design for Togetherness (Acts 2:42–47)
5. The first thing the early church did was devote themselves to being together—teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer. Why do you think this was so important to their growth?
6. What do you think you might be missing out on if you try to grow in your faith in isolation?
Healing and Encouragement (James 5:13–16)
7. Why do you think confession and prayer for one another are essential for healing, rather than just going to God privately?
8. Have you ever experienced healing—spiritual, emotional, or relational—through the prayers or support of others? Share that story.
Overcoming Barriers
9. Some of us carry past hurts from church or relationships that make it hard to trust again. What past wounds might keep you from stepping fully into community?
10. Hebrews 10:25 says not to give up meeting together but to encourage one another. Who has encouraged you recently, and how did it shape your faith?
Moving Forward Together
11. If Fall 2025 was your season of moving from isolation to community, what would that look like for you personally?
12. What’s one simple step you can take this week to lean into community—whether joining a Life Group, reaching out to a friend, or opening up about something real?
