What Kind of Wisdom Do You Have? (Part 1)

The Merriam-Webster dictionary says, “wisdom is the ability to process, apply, or otherwise act on knowledge.”
• A modified definition: Wisdom is the ability to process, apply, or otherwise act on truth accumulated through knowledge.

Job basically asked the same question
Proofs that will indicate whether or not one possesses wisdom:
• It Must Be Visible - “Let him show (it)…

• It Must Be Guided By Gentleness: Gentleness carries with it the idea of being tender and gracious. You could also translate it as being meek.

It is unfortunate that in the English language, meekness is often associated with weakness. To the Greek mind, as well as in the mind of James, gentleness or meekness is definitely not associated with weakness. Rather gentleness is the exercise of power that in under control.

The adjective “bitter” describes a jealousy that is harsh and sharp, a jealousy that is cutting and destructive, having no thought or concern for the feelings and welfare of those who are its objects.

The Deceitful Trio: The three greatest enemies of a believer are the world, the flesh, and the devil.

The end result is that...
The basic meaning of the word “disorder” is that of instability, a state of confusion and disarray.
APPLICATION
Is the wisdom you have visible? What do people see?
Is displayed through your good, God-honoring behavior? What does your lifestyle reflect?
Are your good works a by-product of your faith? Are they done in a spirit of gentleness?
Is the life you live a reflection of truth?
Are you wise and understanding? Prove it.

• Louann Pranger (Tracy Marshall's mom) is greatly improved after consulting with a specialist and finding there was a secondary issue related to gall stones.
