We welcome guest speaker Rev. Ed Owens, who serves as an Associate Regional Minister for the American Baptist Churches of Michigan, to our pulpit this morning.
Rev. Ed Owens served as pastor of the Olivet Baptist Church of Lansing Michigan for 34 years. He began his ministry after completing degrees at Michigan State University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served a church in Kentucky and Virginia before returning to his home church in Lansing. Additionally, he had the privilege of serving 18 years as a chaplain for the Lansing Police Department. He has served in various roles in ABC-MI life and leadership of The Holy Spirit Renewal Ministry. He currently leads the Renewal School of Ministry, an online school for lay leaders and pastors. His family includes his wife, Sherry, four children, and eleven grandchildren.
Ed is passionate about pursuing spiritual renewal both personally and for churches. He loves teaching and preaching the Word of God. He is also enthusiastic about taking week-long tours on his recumbent trike.
Ed serves the ABC-MI's churches in the state's central area. He also oversees the various programs and teams that make up ABC-MI. His work in these areas will increase our effectiveness at serving the members of the congregations that make up ABC-MI.

Hearing Assistance Devices Available

They are available from the Sound Booth at the rear of the sanctuary and are cleaned and sanitized after each use. For questions, see Rocky Starland.
Have You Considered?
Did you know that if your bank offers online services, you can set your tithe up as a regular ‘bill payment’ through your bank? This is a convenient option to help with continuity in giving and the ability for you to tithe even when you are on vacation or miss church. It eliminates having to wonder if you turned in your offering while you were gone! If you have questions or would like more information about how to utilize this convenient option, check with your banking institution or contact the church office.
Pop Cans = Scholarships
Don’t forget that your beverage can & bottle donations are used to fund teen scholarships for youth retreats, summer camps, special activities, etc. Please bring your recyclable items to the church anytime!
