1. Separation from Christ.
2. But now in Christ Jesus.
“He (the enemy) does not mind if you hear the truth as long as you do not chew and digest it. He does not want your mind actively engaging the truth of God; He desires that your mind be stayed upon the problems, chaos, and unknowns in this world.” (Consider the Lilies, Ardavanis, 69)
3. Jesus is our peace.
4. Peace to all.
“..the Father’s children are the only people on earth who can experience the Father’s peace…You cannot possess the peace of God if you are not at peace with God through Jesus Christ.” (Consider the Lilies, Ardavanis, 76)
Sermon Questions:
1. Where do people go for peace?
2. Describe someone (without giving their name) who is a peaceful person.
3. When did you learn that you were separated from Christ? How did this realization strike you? How does this help you in ministering to others?
4. How does the enemy cause disruption, unrest, and division to prevent peace?
5. Describe briefly a peace-less situation (or seems to be) to the group so that they can pray God's peace for that.
6. Tell of the peace that you have with God eternally (salvation) and then the peace that you have with God in a particular situation.
