Series Description:
"At the Movies Special Edition" shows snippets from popular public funded show - The Chosen. Pastor Sean creates a message based on themes from the show. It's one of our most popular and fun series as God speaks to you through each film. Due to the content of this series this message will not be available to view online after it is live on Sunday mornings.

Message Description:
Have you ever felt like God didn’t answer your prayer?
This message is one you can’t afford to miss. Whether you’re walking through disappointment, waiting on healing, or feeling like your faith is worn thin, “The Miracle You Never Saw Coming” is a powerful reminder that God is at work even when it doesn’t feel like it.
➡ We’ll take a deep dive into the story of “Little James” from The Chosen, unpacking what it means to trust Jesus even when you still walk with a limp.
➡ You’ll walk away with 3 biblical truths that will help you face pain and suffering with faith and courage.

If you’ve ever wondered:
Why didn’t God heal me?Can God still use me if I’m broken? What’s the purpose in this pain?

Come hear how God does His deepest work in the hardest seasons—and how your greatest miracle might be the one He’s doing in your heart.
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH REAL DISAPPOINTMENTS?
Scene from the Chosen: Season 2, Episode 3 called “Two by Two.”
The Authors of the Chosen are focusing our attention of the last and least of these....
Spiritually Significant Questions to arise:
Is God still Good in your life, if He allows a substantial ongoing trail to remain?
ALL OF US TO SOME DEGREE WILL WALK WITH A LIMP:
Three things from Scripture to help you walk faithfully even though your trials?
1. Pain is a Problem
2. Pain has a Problem
Pain has a short shelf life.
New Testament Standard for Pain:
In order for pain to get to us it first had to Go through Christ.
C.S. Lewis:
God: whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shout in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.
Just as you belong to God, you pain belongs to God!
Charles Spurgeon
“If the Lord doesn’t pay in silver, He will pay in gold; and if He does not pay in gold. He will pay in diamonds.”
QUESTION:
What pain are you carrying that Jesus is calling you trust Him with?
TALK IT OVER

1. Have you ever prayed for something with all your heart, and God didn’t answer the way you hoped?
What did that moment do to your faith? Did it create distance or dependence?

2. “Little James” was given the power to heal others while still waiting for healing himself.
How do you relate to that tension — watching God work through you or others while your personal miracle hasn’t come?

3. What do you think it means when Jesus says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”? (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Where are you experiencing weakness right now, and how might that be the exact place God wants to meet you?

4. Is God still good, even if your suffering continues?
Be honest. What makes it hard to trust His goodness in your current circumstances?

5. What is a “mountain” inside of you that God may be more interested in moving than the one in front of you?
(Pride? Control? Fear? Doubt?) What would it look like to surrender that to Him?

6. In what ways has pain become a “megaphone” for God in your life?
Have you experienced moments where pain brought clarity, humility, or a deeper encounter with Him?

7. The message reminded us: "Pain has a short shelf life, but what God does through it can last forever."
How does that eternal perspective change how you view your current struggle?

8. What is one unanswered prayer in your life that you are still waiting on?
Are you willing to believe that God is still working even in the silence?

9. How does it impact you to know that your pain doesn’t belong to you — it belongs to God? (1 Cor. 6:19-20)
What might change if you started handing your hurt over to your "Landlord"?

10. Do you believe there are parts of God’s heart you can only understand through suffering?
If so, what have you learned about Him in your hardest moments?

11. When Jesus told “Little James,” “You will be healed... it’s only a matter of time” — what hope does that give you for your own healing or redemption?
How does that change how you walk with a limp today?
