Forty Days of Signs and Wonders
Week 1: “Go”
Foundation text:
Introduction:
Jesus’ final command was not to stay, but to go. This is a divine mandate for every disciple, not optional but essential. The word “Go” signals movement, action, and obedience.
1. The Command to “GO”
Jesus’ final command was not to stay, but to go. This is a divine mandate for every disciple, not optional but essential. The word “Go” signals movement, action, and obedience.
1. The Command to “GO”
a. Not a suggestion, but a commission.

Biblical Example: Peter and Cornelius.

Gospel was for all.
Key Point: Going may take us out of our comfort zone, but never out of God’s will.

3. The Message to Proclaim.
Mark 16:15 “……….preach openly the wonderful news of the gospel…”
a. We are not called to preach opinions, politics, or prosperity, but the Gospel, the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Biblical Example: Paul in Athens.
a. We are not called to preach opinions, politics, or prosperity, but the Gospel, the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Biblical Example: Paul in Athens.
a. Surrounded by idols, Paul didn’t condemn the people but used their culture to point them to Christ.
Result: Some mocked, others believed, but Paul was faithful to proclaim the Gospel.
Key Point: The message remains the same, though the method may adapt.

4. The signs follow those who “GO”
a. As disciples go in obedience, God confirms the Word with miraculous signs.
b. Miracles are not the focus, obedience and faithfulness are.
Biblical Example: The seventy sent out.
a. As disciples go in obedience, God confirms the Word with miraculous signs.
b. Miracles are not the focus, obedience and faithfulness are.
Biblical Example: The seventy sent out.
a. Jesus sent them two by two. They returned with joy saying, “Even demons are subject to us in Your name!”
b. Jesus reminded them to rejoice not in power, but that their names are written in heaven.
Key Point: Supernatural signs follow believers who go in faith, not those who sit in fear.

Conclusion:
The Urgency of Going.
1. The world is in need. Spiritually broken, confused, and lost.
2. We have the answer. Jesus Christ.
3. The responsibility to go isn’t just for missionaries or pastors, it’s for every disciple.

Closing Challenge:
a. Where is God calling you to “go” — your neighborhood, your workplace, your city, or even across the world?
b. The first two letters of “Gospel” are “Go.”
c. Will you be a disciple who stays… or one who obeys?
