Join us for Summer Nights of Worship (S.N.O.W.)! These informal, intimate evening of praise and prayer will be held on August 15th at 6:30 pm near the pavilion. Everyone is welcome to come, and songs can be requested by the congregation. Please bring a chair. We’ll move indoors if the weather is bad. Students in grades 6-12 are invited to join us for a special First Friday at a location yet to be determined, on August 1 from 6pm-9pm. We will enjoy a faith-based movie and spend time in prayer over the upcoming school year. Please reach out to Sarah Martin with any questions.

Your help is needed as we reach out to our community for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, at the Spotsylvania Towne Centre. The event begins at 5:00 pm and ends at 8:00 pm. You can help for the whole time or just part of the time. Whatever time you have to give is appreciated. We will be offering free sand art for kids and teens, passing out small New Testament Bibles, and providing information about our church. Help is needed with the sand art, passing out the Bibles and church information, and interacting with kids and families in ways that lead to gospel conversations. The children’s ministry is looking to replenish some supplies needed as we teach the Gospel to our young ones each week. There is a blue bin in the fellowship hall for any donations. Some materials need are glue, glue sticks, colored pencils, washable markers, stickers, hand sanitizers, dry erase markers, popsicle sticks, and pipe cleaners. We appreciate any and all donations!

Please join us on August 10th at 9:30am during the Sunday School hour to recognize our students and acknowledge a year’s worth of progress. This will also mark the moving up to a different grade and possibly a different class. We want to recognize all the hard work put in by the children every Sunday morning. Join us for a small breakfast as we say a few words about each child and pass out certificates. We love what the Lord is doing in the lives of these children here at Goshen!

Our third quarter ministry rally will be on Sunday, August 24. After the worship service, we will have a potluck meal in the fellowship hall with the ministry rally presentation taking place after everyone gets their food. Please bring an entrée and side or dessert.

Our AWANA season will be starting back up on August 20 at 6:15pm. If you have kids that would like to attend this year, please register on our website under the children’s ministry tab. Feel free to reach out to Laura Bonner if you have any questions or are interested in volunteering.

Mark your calendar for Goshen’s Homecoming 2025 on Sunday, October 5! We will be highlighting our growing disaster relief ministry. Shawn Ames from SBC Virginia will be here to preach God’s Word and help us think about how compassion ministry allows us to minister the gospel in Jesus’ name.

Mark your calendar for February 20-21, 2026. We will be hosting Tate and Wendy Cockrell for a parenting conference. More details will be forthcoming. You won’t want to miss it!

One of the groups we offer in the Goshen app is our Prayer Community. We encourage you to join this group and use this tool for your prayer requests. This is an easy and great way to get requests out immediately without having to go through the church office. If you have any questions about the app or how to join one of the groups, please contact the office.

The Children’s Ministry is urgently seeking volunteers to help with both Sunday school and Awana programs. These ministries are vital in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children to grow in their faith, but they cannot thrive without the dedication and service of volunteers.
