Message Description:
This Sunday at Real Life Church: It’s NOT Business As Usual!
This is the moment Jesus did what no one expected—He revealed Himself as the Messiah… to the most unlikely person. A Samaritan woman. Broken. Overlooked. Undeserving. And He changed her life forever.
In a world full of division, Jesus didn’t draw lines to keep people out—He crossed them to bring people in. And He’s calling us to do the same.
- If you’re thirsty for something real...
- If your past tells you you’re disqualified...
- If you’ve been stuck in religion without real relationship…
Jesus offers you Living Water. A love that satisfies. A mission that matters.

Jesus a different kind of King and Issuing in a different kind of Kingdom.
Jesus didn’t draw lines to keep people out; He Crossed Lines to bring People In!
God chooses the Undeserving!
Women at the well…. breaks the lies that hold us back:
Lie #1: My past is so bad, there’s no way God can fix me.
Lie #2: God can’t use my life
Lie #3: RELIGION CAN SOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS…
WHEN YOU DRINK THE LIVING WATER YOU CAN’T BUT RUN TO A LOST AND DYING WORLD!
TALK IT OVER
Starting Point
- What stood out to you most from the message or the clip from The Chosen? Why?
- The message is called “Not Business As Usual.” What does that phrase mean to you in light of the story of the woman at the well?
- Jesus went out of His way—geographically, culturally, and socially—to meet this woman. What does that tell you about His character?
1. Crossing Lines Like Jesus
“He had to go through Samaria…” — Jesus crossed cultural, religious, and racial lines.
Question: What “lines” are you hesitant to cross in your life? Who are you avoiding that Jesus would approach?
2. Living Water for the Overlooked
Jesus gave the woman at the well something eternal.
Question: Who in your life is overlooked by others but may be thirsty for Jesus? How can you offer them Living Water this week?
3. God Uses the Undeserving
“Not many of you were wise… but God chose the weak…” (1 Cor. 1:26-31)
Question: Do you ever feel unqualified to share your faith? Why might that be the very reason God wants to use you?
4. The Surprise Factor
The disciples were shocked Jesus spoke with “that woman.”
Question: Has anyone ever been surprised by who you spend time with for the sake of the Gospel? Why is that a sign you're on mission?
5. The First Evangelist
The woman left her water jar and ran to tell the whole town.
Question: What “water jar” (distraction or fear) do you need to leave behind to go and tell others about Jesus?
6. Fields Are Ripe for Harvest
“Open your eyes… the fields are white for harvest.” (John 4:35)
Question: What keeps us from seeing the harvest right in front of us? What does “reaping where others have sown” look like for you?
7. Global & Local Mission
Real Life crossed lines in Bogota—and so did Jesus.
Question: What line could God be calling you to cross—locally or globally—in order to bring someone into His Kingdom?
8. Break the Lie of the Past
Jesus used a woman with a broken past to spark revival.
Question: What lie about your past still lingers that makes you hesitant to share your faith? What truth from Scripture sets you free?
9. The People No One is Reaching
To reach people no one is reaching, we must do what no one else is doing.
Question: What bold or creative step can you take this week to reach someone far from God?
10. Religion Leaves You Thirsty
Religion can’t fix us. Jesus offers Living Water.
Question: How can we ensure we’re offering people the real Jesus—not just religious routine?
11. Ready to Run?
“When you drink the Living Water, you can’t help but run to the world.”
Question: What’s your next step in “running” into the harvest? Who can you pray for, reach out to, or invite this week?
