Home Group/Study Questions
These questions are provided for your further study and application of today’s sermon. Thoughtfully writing out the answers to these questions will help to drive home the truths we are learning.

1. Was there any passage of scripture or statement in the message today that was particularly meaningful or applicable to you?

2. Read 2 Timothy 1:8-13. What does Paul tell us about his willingness to persevere as God’s servant and serve as a model of others amid such opposition and persecution?

3. Read John 12:23-26. Jesus is sharing his heart with his closest friends on earth. What is the point He is making? Jesus calls us to be willing to sacrifice the pursuit of a comfortable life to his mission of suffering and dying for our sins. Do verses 25-26 apply to us today? What does this look like in real life?

4. Read 1 Peter 5:6-11. How does believing this passage both challenge and encourage you?

5. Read Luke 9:57-62. What are some of the challenges that tempt you to put your own interests, concerns, and comforts ahead of whatever it is that God would have you persevere through at this point in your Christian life?

6. In your own words, why is Christ worthy of your life?

Giving Online

Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. (2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9; Malachi 3:10) We thank those who have helped us fulfill our mission and vision, and we ask you to pray that all of the giving to West End Baptist Church would be used to glorify God in carrying out His will as Scripture instructs and the Holy Spirit leads.
