All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see your radiance. "Look and see, for everyoneis coming home! Your sons are coming from distant lands; your little daughters will be carried home.

(1 Peter 2:9 NLT) ... you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

• You have a specific purpose!

(Ephesians 2:10 NLT) For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

• You have been placed for an opportune time.

(Ephesians 5:15-16 NLT) So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.

(Acts 17:26 NIV) (God) ... marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.

• You can make an eternal difference.

(1 Corinthians 3:13 NIV) their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. ...

Start where you are!

• My gifts and passions.

(Romans 12:6-8 NLT) ... God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

• My life experience.

(Romans 12:1 MSG) So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.

(2 Corinthians 1:4 NLT) He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
