CONNECT
Here are some questions to get the conversation rolling. Feel free to respond to any or all of these.
◾ What has God been bringing to your attention this week?
◾ If you could press the rewind button on your life, what would you change?
◾ On a scale of 1-7 (7 being very!! 1 being not so much), how clear is your purpose in life? Explain your response.

PRAY
Spend a few minutes in prayer, drawing your attention toward God.
◾ Take a few deep breaths to allow your mind and heart to settle.
◾ Ask God to break through the noise so you can hear His voice.
◾ Thank God for at least five things for which you’re thankful.
◾ Name and pray for the first three people that come to mind.
◾ God, as I enter into this time of study and reflection, I pray You’d open my eyes to what is true. Lead me into deeper life with You. May our group and our church reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:13 (NIV)

EXPLORE AND DISCUSS
Don’t rush through this. It’s OK if you don’t get to all the questions. The goal is to have meaningful conversations that help you grow in your understanding of the Bible and your relationship with God and each other. Sometimes it will make sense to go on to the next question. Other times, you might stop down and process a bit longer. Allow God to guide the pace of your discussion.

1. What warning does Paul give, and why is that important?

2. What does this passage teach you about spiritual gifts? Make a list of what you see.

3. Why does Paul use the metaphor of a body to describe spiritual gifts?

4. Have you ever taken a spiritual gifts assessment? If so, what were the results?

5. Have you ever wished you had someone else’s gift? Which gift was it and why?

6. What would a church look like if everyone knew of and used their unique gifts?

7. How can you use your gifts:
⚪ In a particular role in the church?
⚪ In your Community Group?
⚪ In other areas of your life (work, neighborhood, serving in the community, etc.)?

8. What do these passages teach you about spiritual gifts?

◾ Which of these truths/ideas are most significant to you? Why?

9. Based on this week’s study, how would you describe the concept of Spiritual Gifts? Take a few minutes and write down your thoughts. Try to limit your response to two or three sentences.

1. Take a Spiritual Gifts Assessment

2. Consider steps that will help you grow in your ability to use your gifts.
3. Ask God what He wants you to know and remember from this week’s study and discussion. Share this with your group or with a friend, and pray for each other.
