Kingdom - The Good Life Pt 3 - Mercy. Purity. Peace

Kingdom - The Good Life Pt 3 - Mercy. Purity. Peace

What does it really mean to live the good life? Is it success, comfort, happiness, or control — or is it something far deeper? In this series, The Good Life, we explore Jesus’ powerful words from the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5. Through the Beatitudes, Jesus flips the script on everything the world tells us about blessing, joy, and purpose. He shows us that the good life isn’t about perfection, wealth, or having it all together — it’s about living under God’s rule, with a humble, surrendered heart. Come join us as we seek The Good Life — not the life the world promises, but the life Jesus offers. It’s a life of deep joy, unshakable peace, and lasting purpose — a life that begins here and now in the Kingdom of God.

Poor in spirit — recognizing you’ve got nothing without God.
Mourning — grieving the brokenness within you and around you.
Meekness — giving up the need to always be in control.
Hungering and thirsting for righteousness — craving the life only God can give.
“Not giving someone what they deserve.”
You can’t stand at the foot of the cross and withhold mercy.
We’re most generous with what we know we won’t run out of—especially if we didn’t pay for it.
What about justice?
Mercy is not permission.
Mercy Is Not the Opposite of Justice—It's Trust in God’s Justice
The cross is proof that God takes justice seriously.
You can’t receive what you won’t release.
Purity leads to clarity.
More correction on top of distortion doesn't fix the problem.
Purity of heart is about removing what doesn’t belong, so you can see what does.
Purity is single-minded devotion to Jesus.
- Let Me shape how you think.
- Let Me direct what you love.
- Let Me guide the choices you make.
Purity isn’t about performance. It’s about having a heart that prioritizes Jesus above everything else.
PEACEMAKERS:
• Step into tension.• Speak truth in love.
• Prioritize restoration, not retaliation.
• Don’t throw fire on conflict—they bring water to the flame.
You can’t be passive and build peace. You can't create drama also create peace.
Peace isn’t the absence of conflict—it’s the presence of Jesus.
When you’ve been shaped by mercy…and your vision has been clarified through purity...you can’t help but want others to experience the peace you’ve found in Jesus.
Ask God to show you one relationship that needs mercy, clarity, or peace—and take one step toward reconciliation.
hey
