As long as God's love is tied to your effort, there is no end."

Message Summary:
- Jesus offers us rest for our souls
- Rest comes from coming to Christ, walking with Him, and living how He created us to live.
At The Crossing, we provide you with questions designed to help you take the message from Sunday morning, and begin to process it and apply it to your life. Use these questions on your own, connect with a life group, or talk about them as a family!

If you have some time, go ahead and jump to the "Start-Talking" section and continue from there!
If you only have a few minutes, use the "Quick-Talk" section to help spark your thoughts on the message.
No matter what, be sure to go to the "Action-Steps" section!

➖Growth in a relationship with God comes through application of His Word (James 1:22). ➖
Quick-Talk:

- What did you think of the message?
- Was there anything you disagreed with?
- What stood out or resonated with you?
Start-Talking:
- What are some of your go-to ways to find rest?
- Which part of the message was most impactful for you and why?
Verse-Talk:
Read Matthew 11:28-30
- How do you typically think about rest?
- How do Jesus' words influence your perspective? What do they make you think, feel, and want to do?
What are some differences between physical rest and soul rest?
Share-Talk:
- Do you struggle more with finding your worth in your work/actions? Why do you think that is?
- Talk about a time when you experienced the rest Jesus described in Matthew 11:28-30. What was that experience like, and how could you have that again?
- Share as openly as you can with your group: How are you really doing lately, and what do you need from Jesus? How can you help one another share these burdens together?
🦶Action-Steps:
- Write out Matthew 11:28-30 on paper and place it somewhere you will see it regularly. Spend intentional time reading it throughout the week.
- Identify: Where do I need rest for my soul most this week? (Identity in Christ, relying on His finished work, His righteousness, etc.)
- Spend some time each morning in prayer asking God to help you rest in Him.
- Go through the Bible plan below with your group this week

Rest in God's Approval

Rest in God's Approval
Memory Verse: 📖
As a church, we want to hide the Word of God in our hearts and keep His wisdom on our minds. Consider memorizing this verse to help lead and guide us in our decisions.

Matthew 11:28-29 NIV
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
