Jesus wants us to become virtuous together.
The only hermeneutic of the gospel, is a congregation of men and women who believe it and live by it. ~ Leslie Newbigin
– Scripture together.
The Christian lives wholly by the truth of God’s Word in Jesus Christ…Therefore, the Christian needs another Christian who speaks God’s Word to him…that clarifies the goal of all Christian community: they meet one another as bringers of the message of salvation. ~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Life Together
– We Sing Together
Long term memory is the relatively permanent and limitless storehouse of the memory system. However, we need cues to recall this information. When we encode memories, neurons form connections called neural networks. When we access one aspect of a network, this leads to other bits of information stored in the same network. Stronger emotions related to these networks create stronger memories. ~ Amy Wilson
Why do Christians sign when they are together? The reason is, quite simply, because in singing together it is possible for them to speak and pray the same Word at the same time; in other words, because here they can unite in the Word. ~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Life Together
– Solidarity Together (Intentional Community)
Spiritual formation is our continuing response to the reality of God’s grace shaping us into the likeness of Jesus Christ, through the work of the Holy Spirit, in the community of faith, for the sake of the world. ~ Jeffrey Greenman, Life in the Spirit
