• King David meticulously prepared for the construction of the temple by gathering materials and organizing labor. He amassed vast quantities of gold, silver, bronze, and iron, as well as timber and precious stones. He also assembled skilled workmen, including foreign laborers, and entrusted them with the task of preparing materials like hewn stones. David prepared the materials for his son Solomon to use when building the temple.
• Your “why” matters more than your attitude, efforts, and pain!
• David passionately valued and honored the presence of the Lord

• A true test of our hearts is when there is no apparent reward/benefit
• We can’t control the outcome, but we can withhold our investment(s)

• Boundaries, “me time,” and balance are good lessons/practices, but seldom are beautiful and precious things/moments/blessings free

• Crowned with dignity: faithfulness for the Kingdom is not forgotten
