We learned last week that faith and doubt can co-exist. This week we are reminded that pain does not mean the absence of faith, instead they share the same space. Why do you think we question God’s love for us when we experience pain?

Most of us have heard the phrase "Pain is the best teacher". It's also true that pain can play a big role in developing our faith. What circumstances have you gone through in your life that strengthened your faith?

How can we choose to lean into our pain and view it as an opportunity for growth?

The process of allowing pain to build our faith can begin when we pray, have patience and remember that it is serving God’s purpose. How might you intentionally allow pain to strengthen your faith in the coming week?

No matter how strong our faith is we will still have pain in this life. Take a moment to pause and lift up your fellow group members in prayer, asking for strength in their faith as they navigate times of pain.
