https://reallifechurchkc.com/planyourvisitSeries Description:
Ever feel like you're not enough? Not strong enough, not good enough, not put together enough to handle life — let alone feel close to God? You're not alone. But what if the answer wasn't found in trying harder... but in trusting the One who already gave it all?
This 4-week series, ENOUGH, walks through the final days of Jesus' life and His resurrection to show us one powerful truth:
What we lacked, Jesus gave. Calvary is enough.

Message Description:
What happens when your plan isn't working? When exhaustion sets in and it feels like God keeps closing doors?
This week at Real Life, we're pulling back the curtain on the tension between our human plans and God’s unstoppable power. Through the eyes of Peter – a disciple who had bold plans but needed a bigger perspective – you’ll discover:
✅ Why your strength isn’t the answer
✅ What happens when God says “No” to your version of the story
✅ How Jesus transforms your failure into future
✅ What it really means to lay down your plan and followHis
Highlights to Expect:
• A walk through Peter’s highs and heartbreaks – sword swings, denials, and redemption
• Insight on the power of God that cannot be replaced by human strategy
• A reminder that Jesus is enough – not just to save, but to sustain and send
• A personal invitation from Jesus: “Follow Me”
If you’ve ever felt tired of trying, confused by God’s silence, or frustrated that life isn’t going your way — this message is for you.

Easter is the Greatest Story Ever Told
WALK THROUGH THE CROSS FROM PETER’S PERSPECTIVE AND MOVE FROM MAN POWER TO GOD’S POWER.
Often we feel defeated when we run against God’s will.
There’s moments in each of our lives where we need the Father to interrupt our plans!
Common Mistake: Lord how can I use you to increase my power and position?
EVERY TIME GOD REVEALED HIS POWER, MAN EITHER DENIED OR REPLACED GOD’S POWER WITH THEIR SELF MADE PLANS.
PETER IS LITERALLY FIGHTING AGAINST GOD’S WILL.
JESUS TOOK AWAY HIS SWORD - HIS SOURCE OF STRENGTH.
Peter REPLACED… HIS OWN VERSION OF GOD trust GOD’s version of God.
YOU AREN’T WHO YOU PEOPLE SAY YOU ARE..
YOU AREN’T WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE…
YOU ARE WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE!!!
YOU AREN’T WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE…
YOU ARE WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE!!!
Where might God be leading you that is contrary to your version of God?
Peter would be so move by God that HE FOLLOW GOD INTO THE UNKNOWN AND THE POWER OF GOD WOULD GO OUT OF HIS LIFE:
TALK IT OVER
1. Where Are You Tired of Trying?
- In what areas of life are you exhausted from trying to make things happen in your own strength?
- How have you seen your plans fall short or lead to discouragement?
2. The Power of God vs. the Plans of Man
- Why do you think we so often replace God’s power with our plans?
- What’s an example in your life where God’s plan was better than what you originally wanted?
3. Who Do You Say Jesus Is?
- Like Peter in Matthew 16, who do you say Jesus is today?
- How does what you believe about Jesus shape how you surrender to Him?
4. Are You Rebuking the Cross?
- Peter told Jesus “this shall never happen to you.” Have you ever unknowingly resisted God’s will because it didn’t align with your expectations?
- What might be your “version of God” that needs to change?
5. Letting Go of Your Version of God
- What part of your faith is more about your comfort and control than about trusting Jesus?
- How can you begin to let go of “your version” of God and start following His?
6. Altering or Altar-ing?
- In Matthew 17, Peter wanted to build shelters (altars) for Jesus, Moses, and Elijah. Where might you be trying to "build something for God" rather than allowing God to rebuild you?
- What would it look like for you to stop trying and start trusting?
7. Human Concerns vs. God’s Concerns
- What are some “human concerns” that are dominating your thoughts right now?
- How might focusing on God’s concerns change your mindset this week?
8. Are You Picking Up a Sword or a Cross?
- When Peter grabbed the sword in the garden, he fought against God’s will. How are you tempted to fight or control rather than surrender?
- What does it practically look like for you to deny yourself and carry your cross?
9. From Denial to Destiny
- Peter denied Jesus, yet Jesus still restored and called him. How does Peter’s story encourage you when you’ve failed?
- What is Jesus asking you to feed, tend to, or build in His Kingdom today?
10. Who Gets to Lead Your Life?
- Jesus told Peter, “When you are old… someone else will lead you where you do not want to go.” Are you willing to let Jesus lead you—even when it’s uncomfortable?
- What would it take for you to say, “Jesus, I surrender. I will follow You”?
Closing Prayer:
Jesus, we confess that too often we’ve tried to force our own plans instead of trusting Yours. We’ve been tired, frustrated, and discouraged because we’ve been working in our own strength. But today, we stop. We surrender. We choose Your will over our own. We lay down our version of You, and we receive who You truly are—our Savior, Redeemer, King, and Lord. Thank You for never giving up on us, even when we’ve denied You or resisted You. Help us to pick up our cross daily, to listen to Your voice, and to walk in the power that only comes through You. Jesus, we trust You. Jesus, we love You. Jesus, we will follow You. Amen.
