The risen Jesus WILL restore beauty forever.
– Jesus is the source of all beauty.
No one has ever seen God, but God the only Son has made him known. Humanity was made as the climax of the first creation (Gen. 1:26–27): The true humanity of Jesus is the climax of the history of creation, and at the same time the starting-point of the new creation. From all eternity Jesus had, in his very nature, been the ‘image of God’, reflecting perfectly the character and life of the Father. ~ N.T. Wright, Colossians
– Jesus stepped into our brokenness.
For many today, the resurrection claim is dead on arrival. Unlike our gullible 1st-century forebears, we modern scientific folk can’t possibly believe in miracles like that! But [MIT professor Ian] Hutchinson explains that science cannot disprove the resurrection because miracles aren’t something that science is equipped to address. He explains: ‘Natural science describes the normal reproducible working of the world of nature. Miracles like the resurrection are inherently abnormal. … Contrary to increasingly popular opinion, science is not our only means for accessing truth. In the case of Jesus’ resurrection, we must consider the historical evidence.’ ~ Rebecca McLaughlin, Is Easter Unbelievable?
– Jesus has already started restoring beauty now.
Where in your life has brokenness overtaken beauty?
