NEW TO REAL LIFE?
Thanks for stopping by our YouVersion! If you're searching for a church home, we're the place for you. We would love for you to plan your visit in-person with us. Whether you've never been to church before, or grew up attending church weekly, plan your experience to join us this weekend!
https://reallifechurchkc.com/planyourvisitSeries Description:
There’s a seat at the table—and it’s got your name on it.
We’re in a pivotal moment as a church. God has been answering prayers, changing lives, and doing what only He can do. But with growth comes a temptation: to settle. To forget the mission. To focus more on who’s in than who’s still out there.
This four-week series, PRODIGAL, will challenge us to remember what’s at the very heart of God—people. Broken people. Wandering people. People who feel far from home. People just like us.
This isn’t just a message series—it’s a call back to the mission. To love like Jesus. To live on purpose. To never forget what it’s like to be lost... and then found.

Message Description:
We all know someone who feels far from God… maybe that’s even you right now. But the good news is — God never gives up on us.
We’ll look at Luke 15 and discover:
→ Why God goes to extreme lengths to search for the lost.
→ How we can be a part of welcoming people back home.
→ What it really means to go the distance for others.
Plus — you’ll get to hear an incredible real-life story from Chris Ward about growing up far from God… and the people God used to bring him home. You don’t want to miss it!

Message Highlights:
→ Celebrate a HUGE WIN from our Fields of Faith event — 50 students came, and one young man committed his life to Jesus!
→ Be inspired to take the next step to invite someone back to God — just in time for Easter.
→ Be reminded that the heart of God is for people to come home… and He wants to use you to help make that happen.
There’s always a way back home. Come expectant. This Sunday could change someone’s life — maybe even yours.

Today is a REMINDER OF WHY WE GO THE DISTANCE.
God expects us to take extreme effort to search for the lost.
The Power of God is unleashed when we go search for lost people!
TALK IT OVER
LOOK TO GOD’S WORD — LUKE 15
(Read Luke 15 together)
1. What stands out to you most in these three parables (Lost Sheep, Lost Coin, Lost Son)?
2. What do you learn about God's heart for lost people from these stories?
GOING THE DISTANCE — YOUR STORY MATTERS
1. Who in your life went the distance for you to come to know Jesus?
2. How did their effort make an impact on you?
3. Chris shared how God used people at just the right time — do you think God could use you that way for someone else? Why or why not?
LIVING WITH INTENTIONAL EFFORT
1. What’s the difference between hoping someone meets Jesus and helping someone meet Jesus?
2. Chris mentioned simple next steps like Edna (inviting, serving, showing up consistently). What is one simple action you can take this week to move toward someone who is far from God?
3. Who is a prodigal (someone far from God) that God has put on your heart to invite this Easter?
LOOKING AHEAD TO EASTER — URGENCY & OPPORTUNITY
1. What are some fears that could hold you back from inviting someone?
2. What does it say about God’s heart that He celebrates when even one person comes home?
RESPONSE — TAKE THE CHALLENGE
"I've got to get serious about bringing people…"
- Who are your top 3 people you will pray for and invite to Easter? (Write them down)
- Pray bold prayers over those names as a group.
- What action can we take before next week — text them, call them, serve them, or invite them.
FINAL THOUGHTS — PRAYER
- Pray for boldness.
- Pray for prodigals to come home.
- Pray for Easter to be a powerful move of God.
