CONNECT
Here are some questions to get the conversation rolling.
◾ What stood out to you from the devotional or your Bible reading this week?
◾ What insights or practices have been changing how you experience Jesus?
◾ What examples of the love of power or the power of love have you seen or experienced?
PRAY
Spend a few minutes in prayer, drawing your attention toward God. Consider these prayer points as you invite God to lead and guide you.
◾ Dear Lord, I pray you’d help me hear your voice above the noise.
◾ I bring to you all that I have and all that I am and pray you’d fill me with more of you.
◾ Jesus, I pray you’d become the center of my life, not just a part.
◾ I pray you’d help me experience you in this area (name an area) of my life this week.
◾ May the people of Brookwood (you might name specific people) experience more of your great love this week.
MAIN SCRIPTURE
Have someone read this passage. Then take a few minutes for everyone to quietly reflect on it, noting words and phrases that are most meaningful. Share these with each other before going through the discussion questions below.

Ephesians 3:14-21 (NIV)
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, 21 to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
EXPLORE AND DISCUSS
1. Paul addresses God as Father. In what ways have you come to know God as a Father?
2. What does it mean to be strengthened in your inner being? Can you think of a time you felt God’s strength this way? How did that change you?
3. According to the following verses, what are some ways the Holy Spirit strengthens us? Which of these are especially meaningful to you?
4. How would your life be different if you were more rooted and established in God’s love?
5. Paul describes God’s love as wide, long, high and deep. Have you been experiencing His love this way? If not, what do you think is in the way?
6. How have you handled the unmet needs of your heart?
7. How have wounds from others impacted your view and experience of God’s love?
8. This passage describes the limitless power of God’s love and also His intense desire that we experience His love. It’s overwhelming, really.

◾ In what area of your life do you sense God wanting to love you?
9. As you reflect on this week’s passage…
◾ How would you describe Paul’s view of God?

PERSONAL APPLICATION
What steps can you take to become more rooted in God? Ask God what He wants you to know and remember from this week’s study and discussion. Share this with your group or with a friend, and pray for each other.
A PRACTICAL EXERCISE
Turn this week’s passage, Ephesians 3:14-21, into a personal prayer. Change the pronouns to help you talk directly to God. One day, pray this for yourself. Another day, pray this for your family. A third day, pray this for the people at Brookwood.
SCRIPTURE MEMORY
One of the best ways to hear God throughout the day is to memorize Scripture. God often brings His Word back to mind at just the right time! Here’s a verse to memorize based on this week’s theme:

Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
