https://reallifechurchkc.com/planyourvisitSeries Description:
Jesus was caught doing things contrary to social norms and even religious beliefs. Jesus often crossed lines to bring people in like in Luke 15 and the story of the prodigal son. Often we can lose focus of how important it is to continue to cross lines to reach people in our culture. This series is all about growing your passion for soul winning and helping others get into the presence of Jesus.

Message Description:
Logan Hardee had the amazing opportunity to go on a mission trip to Bogotá, Colombia at the end of March! This was a trip of a new capacity for him, 10 days in length and a really cool look at the behind-the-scenes of global ministry. He visited some of Real Life’s favorite partners, got to meet amazing new people, and most importantly he saw the fruit of 100+ trips culminate into the saving of one very special, very prayed over soul. Sit tight and get ready for an amazing perspective of what God is doing all over the world!

God is working across the world!
We are all called to evangelize, who have you overlooked that needs the Gospel?
We often search for treasure chests, and skip over lost coins in pursuit of a grander prize
There are lost people everywhere, waiting to go home
How to find God’s will:
1. Learn to abide in Christ
No veil like the veil of comfort, mission trips make you uncomfortable
Abiding in God reveals things otherwise missed or misinterpreted
Two people can look at the same person and see two different things. Do we see people or souls?
2. Mentality of Submission
What do we say yes to? What do we say no to?
Be doers of the word, not merely hearers
3. Healthy and Intentional Prayer Life
Prayer provides clarity for the sake of abiding, and will for the call of submission
How often do you talk to God?
The Gospel is powerful
Everyone in here knows an overlooked prodigal
Someone in here is an overlooked prodigal
Maybe we need to go home and don’t even realize it
Hold up a mirror!
And then: act accordingly
And then: act accordingly
If we are a prodigal we realize in one of two ways:
1. We are preemptive to the root of our sin
2. We are reactive to the results of our sin
1. We are preemptive to the root of our sin
2. We are reactive to the results of our sin
The son didn’t realize he was lost until he was on the brink of starvation
Why do we make things the way we do?
But Jesus
In Jesus, we are free
TALK IT OVER
1. Abiding in God: How can you create space in your daily life to abide more deeply in God’s presence, and what does that look like for you in practical terms?
2. Submission to God: Are there areas in your life where you are resisting God’s call or guidance? What would it look like for you to fully surrender to His direction?
3. The Rhythm of Prayer: How consistent is your prayer life? What steps can you take to make prayer a more intentional part of your daily routine?
4. The Power of the Gospel: In what ways have you seen the power of the Gospel transform lives, either in your own experience or in the lives of others? How can you be more intentional in sharing this transformative message?
5. Courage in Evangelism: Does anything prevent you from boldly sharing your faith? How can you pray for courage to overcome these barriers and live on mission?
6. Wisdom and Discernment: How do you make decisions about where and when to say “yes” to God? How can you discern His will more clearly in your daily life?
7. Living on Mission: How can you incorporate the lessons learned on a mission trip into your everyday life, regardless of where you live or what you do? What does living on mission look like for you outside of the trip context?
8. Recognizing the Overlooked Prodigal: Are there people in your life who may be spiritually distant or lost, like the Prodigal Son, but are consistently ignored? How can you be more intentional in reaching out to them with love and grace?
9. Spiritual Growth: Reflecting on your spiritual journey, what areas of growth have you noticed in yourself lately? What are some areas where you feel God is still calling you to grow? If you have been on a mission trip, how has it helped you on your spiritual journey? If not, in what ways could going on a mission trip help your spiritual growth?
10. Practical Application: Think about the story of Martin, the bus driver. How did Scott’s commitment to abiding, submission, and prayer make a difference in Martin’s life? What can we learn from Scott's example?
Sit on the answers to these questions, and then pray as a group for what God has revealed that needs to change or grow.
