NEW TO REAL LIFE?
Thanks for stopping by our YouVersion! If you're searching for a church home, we're the place for you. We would love for you to plan your visit in-person with us. Whether you've never been to church before, or grew up attending church weekly, plan your experience to join us this weekend!
https://reallifechurchkc.com/planyourvisitYou picked a great Sunday to be with us! This Sunday at Real Life Church, we are continuing our Prodigal series and diving into the theme of Lost Things—a powerful reminder that God is always searching for what is lost and eagerly waiting for it to come home.
In Luke 15, Jesus shares three compelling parables—the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin, and the Lost Son. These stories highlight God’s relentless pursuit of the lost, no matter where they’ve been or what they’ve done.
Message Highlights:
- God’s Pursuit: No matter where you are, God is always looking for you—He wants you back.
- Grace & Forgiveness: Just like the father in the Prodigal Son story, God is waiting with open arms, offering grace and forgiveness, not condemnation.
As followers of Jesus, we’ve experienced His grace and forgiveness, and we are called to share this hope with others. If you know someone who feels lost, disconnected, or far from God, invite them to join us this Sunday. We’re celebrating that God is always pursuing the lost—and there’s no better time to come home.

TALK IT OVER
Personal Reflection & Connection
1. Have you ever lost something important? How did you react, and what did you do to find it?
2. Can you relate to feeling "lost" in your spiritual journey? If so, what did that look like for you?
3. How does knowing that God actively seeks the lost impact your view of Him?
Biblical Discussion
1. Read Luke 15:1-7 (Parable of the Lost Sheep). Why do you think Jesus emphasizes leaving the 99 to find the one?
2. In the Parable of the Lost Coin (Luke 15:8-10), what does the woman’s persistence teach us about God’s heart?
3. The Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-24) made a series of poor choices. What finally brought him back home?
4. How do you see God’s grace displayed in the father’s response to his lost son’s return?
Application & Challenge
1. How do we sometimes play the "comparison game" like the older brother, thinking we are better than others?
2. What are some ways we can develop a heart like Jesus for lost people?
3. Baptism is coming up on Easter. What does baptism mean to you, and how does it connect to this message?
4. How does this sermon challenge the way you view people who are far from God?
5. What steps can you take this week to help bring someone closer to Jesus?
6. How can we celebrate when people come to faith, rather than respond like the older brother?
7. Who in your life needs to know they are welcomed home by God? How can you reach out to them this week?
