Home Group/Study Questions
These questions are provided for your further study and application of today’s sermon. Thoughtfully writing out the answers to these questions will help to drive home the truths we are learning.

1. Was there any passage of scripture or statement in the message today that was particularly meaningful or applicable to you?

2. Scripture is filled with the declaration and description of God’s perfect sovereignty, His absolute control over all of His creation. Read James 4:13-14, Proverbs 16:9; 19:21, and Lamentations 3:37-38. What other passages are you familiar with that declare and demonstrate that God is in complete control? How does acknowledging God’s sovereignty strengthen your trust in Him?

3. Read Matthew 10:29-31. Restate the point of this passage in your own words. When are you most likely to doubt or neglect God’s care for you? What are you doing to deepen your confidence in God’s love for you?

4. Read Psalms 9:7-10, Jeremiah 9:23-24, and Philippians 3:8-11. Knowing God means so much more than knowing facts about Him. What does it mean to know Him? What are you doing to get to know Him better?

5. Read Psalm 147:5, Jeremiah 10:12, and Romans 11:33-34. How do these verses describe God’s wisdom? How does the truth of God’s perfect wisdom strengthen your trust in Him.

6. Can you choose to believe and trust God, even when things are going well? Or when you don’t feel like it? Or just on a day to day basis? How can you deepen your faith and dependence on Him?

Giving Online

Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. (2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9; Malachi 3:10) We thank those who have helped us fulfill our mission and vision, and we ask you to pray that all of the giving to West End Baptist Church would be used to glorify God in carrying out His will as Scripture instructs and the Holy Spirit leads.
