NEW TO REAL LIFE?

Thanks for stopping by our YouVersion! If you're searching for a church home, we're the place for you. We would love for you to plan your visit in-person with us. Whether you've never been to church before, or grew up attending church weekly, plan your experience to join us this weekend!

You picked the perfect Sunday to be with us! We’re launching a powerful new series called "PRODIGAL: Bring Them Home." This message is raw, real, and right on time—not just for our church, but for anyone who’s ever drifted, doubted, or felt distant from God.

Message Highlights:
- A fresh look at Luke 15—and the three hearts revealed in Jesus’ most powerful parable: the rebellious son, the loving Father, and the older brother.
- A bold reminder: God doesn’t wait for you to get it all together—He runs to meet you right where you are!
- A challenge to be the kind of church that welcomes prodigals home with open arms and full hearts.

At a pivotal moment in the life of our church, God is doing incredible things—our building is going up, people are finding Jesus, and our teams are growing. But with growth comes the temptation to settle, to get comfortable, to forget the mission. This series is a call to remember what breaks God’s heart... and to run after it!
Break my Heart for what breaks yours!
HEART OF THE YOUNGER SON
HEART OF THE FATHER
Reality: God cares deeply about the people outside this room.
HEART OF THE OLDER SON
The goal isn’t perfection; the goal has always simply to be in the presence of GOD.
TALK IT OVER

1. What’s one of the most inviting or welcoming experiences you've had at a church—or even outside of church?

2. Think back to when you first started following Jesus. How would you describe your passion or urgency to share your faith back then?

The Drift:
1. Why do you think it’s easier to love and spend time with people who think, act, and believe like us?

2. What are some subtle ways we might “draw lines to keep people out” of our spiritual circle?

The Mission: Remember the Finish Line
1. Pastor Sean said, “For Satan to take us out of the race he doesn’t have to get us to fall, just to forget where the finish line is.” What is the finish line for a follower of Jesus—and how easy is it to forget it?

2. What might it look like for you to pray, “God, enlarge my heart for what breaks Your heart”?

The Heart of God: Run to the Lost
1. What does it reveal about God’s heart that the Father ran to the Prodigal Son “while he was still a long way off”?

2. How does that image challenge your view of how God sees people who are far from Him?

3. Who in your life might still be “a long way off,” and how can you start “running” toward them with compassion?

The Reality Check: Are We Welcoming?
1. The message said, “Imagine how quickly the Gospel would spread if we welcomed every person with that kind of love, compassion, and grace.”
How welcoming are we—as individuals and as a church—toward people who are lost, broken, or different?

2. What might be holding you back from inviting someone to church or into your faith story?

The Mirror: Is There an Older Brother in Me?
1. What parts of the older brother do you recognize in yourself—jealousy, comparison, entitlement, self-righteousness?

2. Why do you think it’s so easy to slip into a mindset that says, “They don’t deserve what I’ve earned”?

3. How do we keep our hearts soft toward the lost and not become bitter like the older son?

Response Time: Who Are You in the Story?
1. Which character in the story do you most relate to right now—the younger son, the older brother, or the father?

2. What is one step God is prompting you to take this week to move back toward His heart for the lost?

3. Who is one person you will intentionally pray for, invite, or bring to church this week?

Closing Prayer
Close by asking God to give your group a fresh burden for lost people, boldness to invite them in, and hearts that reflect His love. Ask Him to make your group a reflection of the Father—full of compassion, ready to run.
