Make an IMPACT

The Bible teaches us that tithing is an act of obedience and that we should trust God with every aspect of our lives, which also includes our finances. Sacrificing a portion of our income helps us look beyond ourselves and makes us more aware of the needs of others. We offer many ways for you to make an IMPACT and give back. Take a look at some of the options below

Speed has brought major improvements to our world. But in taking advantage of its possibilities, we have become blind to its drawbacks. A full-throttle life seems to yield little satisfaction other than the sensation of speed itself.

You have made us for yourself, O God, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in you.

Solitude is the one place where we can gain freedom from the forces of society that will otherwise relentlessly mold us.

-Morning coffee before the notifications start piling up.

-A walk without airpods, just you, God, and the sound of your own footsteps?

-Turning the phone off for 30 minutes… no texts, no emails, no distractions, just stillness?
If you don’t make time for silence, the noise won’t wait for your permission.
Action Steps for this Week:

It’s one thing to talk about silence and solitude, it’s another thing to actually build it into our lives. So here are three simple but powerful ways to start putting this into practice this week.

Here are 3 action steps you can begin thinking through this week:

1. Schedule Your Silence
.Find a specific time this week to practice silence and solitude. Maybe it’s your morning coffee, maybe it’s during a lunch break, or maybe it’s sitting outside in the evening. Put it on your calendar like an important meeting… because it is.

2. Start Small - Just Five Minutes.
If silence feels uncomfortable, that’s okay. Start with five minutes. Sit in stillness, take deep breaths, and simply invite God into that space. No agenda. No distractions. Just be with Him.

3. Unplug to Listen.
Pick one time this week to turn off the noise. Mute the phone. Skip the podcast or the TV show. Shut off the notifications. And in that space, instead of filling it with more input, ask God, “What do You want to say to me?” The, just listen.
