1. Read Mark 5:1-20.

2. Why do you think the gospels record so many stories about Jesus driving out demons?

3. What explains the reaction of the people who plead with Jesus to leave? What are the ways that we might act similarly?

4. What are some of the ways Jesus brings healing to the man with the unclean spirit? How was the man’s life transformed? What do you imagine he felt during the experience?

5. What keeps you from fully embracing the transformation offered by Jesus?
