So much suffering comes from our own selfishness.
1. Ask, “What really matters?”

2. Reflect, “How can this pain be used by God for good?”

3. Choose to reach for God when you fall. Believe He will pick you up again.
LifeGroup & Discussion Questions

1. Read aloud John 18:15-27 and 21:15-25. Take a moment to read the passages again in silence, reflect, and write two observations.

2. What does this journey teach us about God and people?

3.What scriptures help you understand the text and message? (i.e., Psalm 51; Luke 15:11-32; John 10:11-15; Acts 12:24-13:13, 15:36-41, and Colossians 4:10-11; Paul's transformation)

4. Have a lifegroup member briefly share a time he or she failed and was later restored. What emotions did that person experience throughout the journey?

5. What resonated most from Adrian's message? Why so?

6. Share which Gift Of Pain message related most to you and why.

7. How might our redemption stories impact a pre-Christian?

Write down what God is impressing upon you to do in response to this series or discussion. If you are in the midst of a failure, either invite the group to pray for you or reach out to one of them this week.

For next week’s message: read and reflect on Mark 1:15 and Galatians 4:4-7.
