Surviving is thriving, expect the struggles, and we won't understand it all are some principles we've talked about in this series. This week we explore the gift God gives us of finding our people.

Share some of the benefits of journeying with other people through life's up's and down's.
What does it mean to you to be "known"?
When have you had to trust God despite your circumstances? What people did you have around you during that time? What was their influence on you?

Describe what it means to carry each other's burdens.

Where could you begin to look out for the interests of others vs yourself? Why do you think this command was given to believers?
How has the encouragement of someone else helped you?
List ways you can encourage someone.
Jesus is the ultimate example of selflessness. What opportunities do you have before you to put someone else first?

Thinking of a time in your life when someone betrayed you, what steps did you take to get out of survival mode?

The shared journey is not always a safe journey as we are all imperfect people.
Think of a time where you have experienced hurt at the hands of someone you trusted.
The Shared journey is not the Same journey
Why do you think it's difficult to not compare your circumstances with others?
Share a time when you have done so.
In what ways can you extend grace to someone who has hurt or betrayed you?
The benefits of shared journeys are to be known and to know others, help and be helped by others and to be with and be with others.
How do you see this lived out in your group?

How can you use this experience to encourage others to not journey alone?
