Last week we learned that struggles should be expected in this life and surviving them is actually thriving.
This week we are going to discuss another survival tip together.

Why do you suppose that God does not always reveal why He allows certain things to happen?

What emotions or actions have you experienced when trying to make sense of your struggles or suffering?
(Frustration, disbelief, bitterness, inadifference....)

The call of Jesus is to trust Him in our suffering and struggles.
Read Prov 3:5 below.
Discuss a time when you have depended on your own understanding and a time when you have trusted in the Lord.

What options have you turned to or see others turn to instead of trusting in God?

Actively trusting in God results in action and not just something we say. Our Faith journey is built on it.

Thinking about a current situation you are facing, what action step could you take to exercise trust?

God's agenda for our lives is often different than ours. Referring to James 1:3-4 and the quote above, what do you think God wants to accomplish through our struggles?

Trust in what happens
Trust in God no matter what happens.

Share a time when you trusted what happened over trusting God no matter what happened.

Is there a time when you did trust God no matter what happened? What was that experience like?

Jesus stated that He is always at work. Where do you see Him working out things out in your life?

We trust when we can't understand or explain.
Share a time when you have you experienced God's peace through a difficulty or saw God work out more than you imagined.
