You cannot have the outer circle without the inner circles first.
If we are going to institute prepared-based parenting then we have to first be preparing ourselves by loving the Lord our God with all our heart, all our soul, and all our mind!
Prepare them to live a life independently dependent on God as their sole source of strength. Prepare them to rely on the presence of the Holy Spirit to sustain them regardless of their life circumstances. And finally, prepare them to exist outside the safe confines of our Christian homes and not to fear culture but engage it, making an impact for the gospel of Christ in their generation.
But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it.
Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.
Can you explain your hope as a believer?
But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong!
