Nehemiah was able to fight each new problem with insightful tactics.

When they were insulted, he met it with prayer and concentrated work (1–6).
When they were plotted against, he met it with prayer and guard duty (7–9).
When there were threats of violence, he met them with a call to arms and the charge to “Remember the Lord … and fight” (10–14).

Recognizing the enemy's tactics:
1. The enemy ridicules and makes fun of you for living for God.
2. The enemy uses others to stir up trouble and gang up on you.
3. The enemy adds to your exhaustion to discourage you and make you afraid.
4. The enemy tries to seduce you with distractions to get you out of focus.
5. The enemy lies and spreads false rumours about you.
6. The enemy uses false prophets to try to intimidate you with spiritual-sounding words.
