1. Read Mark 2:13–3:6.

2. What is it about the Pharisees’ interactions with Jesus that make them want to kill him (3:6)?

3. In what ways might we, like the Pharisees, harbor resentment toward people who don’t meet our religious expectations?

4. Summarize Jesus’ response to the Pharisees in each of the scenarios in this passage.

5. What can we learn from the way Jesus responds to each of these interactions with the Pharisees?
