We are so glad you joined us today. Pax is a non-denominational church that exists to live and share the gospel of peace. (Romans 5:1-11)

Thank you to all who were able to give generously to our Christmas Eve Offering. This year the Christmas Eve Offering has gone to support the work of Wycliffe Bible Translators as they labor to translate the Bible into every language.

When you pray in the name of Jesus, what kinds of things are you praying for?
He calls his disciples to believe in him.
He calls us to do so as well.
He calls us to do so as well.
This declaration of Jesus is a statement of salvation, of authority, and of power.
Jesus is the way, the only way
Jesus is going away, but his death is not defeat--it is victory.
Jesus is the way, has made a way, and is making a way.
Jesus declares his identity and authority and invites them to believe in him.
He invites us to do the same.
He invites us to do the same.
The disciples performed many miracles in the name of Jesus to continue the good work he began.
It is in his name, on his authority, and for his glory that we do so as well.
We are not called to greater faith, but to believe in Jesus and out of that belief we will participate in greater works.

So often we pray for our will, our desires, our plans. And often we are left disappointed.
Instead when we pray in the name of Jesus we pray for salvation, honor his authority, and for his good works in this world.

We believe in an open communion, and would like to invite anyone who has professed faith in Jesus to participate with us this morning.
