Strong and healthy families are the foundation of strong and healthy churches!
At CLA, we are deeply and passionately committed to the spiritual growth and development of your life and family!
2 “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: 3 If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.”
The Bible gives a clear directive: parents are to be respected and valued by their children.
Parents, you are not called to teach your children your personal preferences…you are called to teach your children spiritual truth!
Our responsibility as parents is to teach our children to live a life that is pleasing and honoring to God!
1. Center family life around faith!
Your children will model what they see from you…good and bad.
Center family life around the things of God!
Create opportunities in your home for your family to experience the presence of God!
Make discussions about God and faith a regular part of your family life…not something uncomfortable or awkward!
Make attending church a priority in the life of your family, where your children can learn and grow in a community of other believers.
Pray for the spiritual climate of your family!
2. Everything great takes time!
Parenting with the long view in focus…keeps you centered and doing all the right things!
Godly parents must see eternity as their ultimate aim!
