Sermon Title: We Are Spirit Empowered

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” - 1 Peter 2:9

Why are Core Values so important?
We want to HONOR God, be HEALTHY, REACH THE LOST

Acts 1:6-8: The disciples ask Jesus, when are you coming back to
restore your Kingdom?

Jesus’ response to that question was almost dismissive.

BUT HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
That Holy Spirit is coming, and when HE does you will receive POWER!

What does the word witness mean here? Not only someone who has seen God’s power, but will share that story for all everyone to hear.

Jesus said you are asking the wrong question. It’s not “When am I coming?”, it’s, “Do I have the power that I need to do what I have called you to do!”
The Spirit Fell! Acts 2:1-4, 4:31, 8:14-17, 9:17, 10:44-46

How did they do this? THROUGH the SPIRIT’S POWER!

How do we do this:
Dedicated Wednesday night prayer room
FIRST Wednesday Nights or Prayer and Worship.
We open the altars during worship.
Week of prayer and fasting (this week & one in the Fall)
Quarterly Holy Spirit Nights - January 26, 6pm
This Spring we will have a Holy Spirit Weekend.
This Fall we have another Holy Spirit Conference
