The Responsibility of the Believer

Change can happen with Jesus. What is the responsibility of the believer?

We are not saved by works. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus.

Four Places of Responsibility For the Believer

1. In Ourselves

What has formed your thinking and your actions?

2. Our Realms of Influence

Where has God given you influence?

We can poison our influence through foolish actions.

Wisdom is knowing what to do.

3. In the Church

Is Calvary your church family?

4. To the World

One of Calvary Church’s core values is missions.

Why should we support missionaries around the world? Why can’t the indigenous people reach themselves?

How can we support those missionaries?

o There are practical ways to support them beyond financial support.
o They are not separate from the Church. They are sent out from us!
o Pray for them.
o Stay in communication.

Respond to email newsletters.
Send encouraging messages through social media.

What do we need to know about the missionaries’ lives so we can pray for them more effectively?

Jesus gave each of us responsibility to reach the world in His name!
