CORPORATE PRAYER:

• Pray for God’s hand upon our government.

• Ask God to bring godly advice and wisdom to the President-Elect.

• Ask God to hold back evil so more people can come to Jesus Christ.

• Ask God to keep your own heart pliable and your ears receptive to His Spirit these days.

• Refocus on Immanuel, “God with us.”

In all His holiness and aboveness, God still wants to be close to us, so He accommodated Himself in Jesus the Mediator between sinners and God.

• Before Jesus even arrived in the womb of Mary, God had a family in mind.

• The Christmas season isn’t about the infancy of Christ, it’s about the deity of Christ.

• Christmas is all about God coming to us!

• The Birth of Jesus pointed directly at the cross.

• God always envisioned a family!

• Jesus paid the price for our adoption.

• Bethlehem pointed straight to the cross, and the cross created an eternal family.

• God Himself provided the payment for our sins in the sacrifice of the human Jesus, because of His ever-abiding love (Romans 5:8).

• God came as one of us to save us. This is what makes Christmas CHRISTMAS.

2. How does your family prepare for the Christmas celebration?

3. What do you think is most glorifying to God at Christmas?

4. How might this Christmas prepare you to ring in the New Year with hope and joy?
