Today's Message:

Missing Peace part 3
- While you're waiting... -
Are you waiting on God right now?
God's people waited centuries for God to send the promised Savior.
- What is God doing while you are waiting? -
Testing you? Being cruel? Not listening?
The time between Malachi (the last book of the Old Testament) and Matthew (the first book of the New Testament) is known as the "intertestamental period"
"...the set time had fully come..."
- This phrase in the Greek is "Pleroma Ha Chronos"
(Chronos) - Time
(Pleroma) - Complete or the full measure

Together, "Pleroma Chronos" means - the perfect time
5 important things that took place during the intertestamental period:
- The Greek language became widely known and taught
- The Old Testament was translated into Greek
- Socratic learning method was developed (asking questions)
- Romans developed roads and highways
- Jews were dispersed

*Read your Bible
God's Word provides direction and instruction for living the life that He created us to live. Need help finding where to start? Check out this plan on the YouVersion Bible App
(https://www.bible.com/en/reading-plans/21482)

*Begin talking to God through prayer
Prayer is just a conversation with God. Tell Him your hurts, struggles, good things, bad things, concerns, etc... He want's to hear it ALL!

*Connect with a life group
Life is hard. Why make it harder by trying to navigate it on your own? Connect with others to help you along your way.

Talk it over:
Take the message to the next level and talk about it practically in your life!
Contemplate these questions on your own, connect with a life group, or talk about them as a family!

- What did you think of the message?
- Was there anything you disagreed with?
- What stood out or resonated with you?
New-Talk:
- Is waiting in line no big deal, a minor annoyance, or majorly irritating to you? Why?
- What is the most difficult part about waiting for you?
- Has there ever been a time when you wondered whether God was actually at work in a season of waiting, only to find out later that He was? what happened?
Verse-Talk:
Read Isaiah 64:4

- In our busy lives today, what does it look like to wait on The Lord?
Share-Talk:
- Share something you've been waiting on, and spend time encouraging one another.
- What are some ways you can lean on God and trust what He's doing in the middle of your waiting?
- In your waiting, what are some ways that you have seen God at work?
Wrap it up:
- Spend time in prayer for one another to have the strength to wait on God.
- Set a time where you can connect with one person inside your group throughout the week to continue to encourage each other.
