Be Salty & Stay Lit

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.” v.13

3. Salt makes one thirsty.

By the way you follow Jesus, do you preserve the world around you, do bring flavor to following Jesus, and do you make everyone thirsty for Jesus?

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” v.14-16

Do you light up everyone’s world?

God can and will use you to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world!

Be Salty and Stay Lit

Jesus never challenged us to become salt and light. He simply said that we are—and we are either fulfilling or failing that given responsibility.

By the way you follow Jesus, do you preserve the world around you, do bring flavor to following Jesus, and do you make everyone thirsty for Jesus?!And do you last but not least, light up everyone’s world?!
