Women’s Ministry Christmas Tea
The Women’s Ministry Christmas Tea is this Wednesday, December 4, at 7 p.m. The speaker this year is singer/songwriter Carol Carpenter. Register at the kiosk. Cost of the event is $10. This year’s offering will benefit Parent Life. For information please contact Jan Brown at 317-523-5488.
GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays
Wondering how you will survive the holidays? The Surviving the Holidays seminar is for people who are grieving a loved one’s passing. Join us tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 6 to 8 p.m. in room WC 100. Register online at griefshare.com. Questions? Call Jane Rogers at 317-989-8547.
Angel Breakfast
Angel Breakfast will be in Fellowship Hall, Saturday, December 14, from 9 to 11 a.m. This a time for families with children in kindergarten and younger to celebrate the real reason we celebrate Christmas. There will be food, games, crafts and a look into the birth of Jesus. This is a free event for families. No drop-offs, please. No registration is needed. Older siblings are welcome to participate.
Men’s December Breakfast and Devotion
Plan to attend the men’s Bible study and breakfast on Saturday, December 7, in Fellowship Hall. Enter at door #3 or #12. Coffee and fellowship are at 7 a.m. and breakfast is served at 7:30. Dave Mann will give a biblical challenge at 8 a.m. All are welcome to come and meet with men seeking God’s Word.

Join us Tuesday, December 24, at 5:30 or 7 p.m. for a candlelight Christmas Eve service, celebrating Jesus, our Savior, Immanuel. Be sure to invite a friend, neighbor, family member, or co-worker.
Homeless Ministry Needs
The Homeless Ministry is in need of items for the winter season. Items can be placed in the Drop Zone in the Foyer. Needed items are: baby wipes, blankets, heavy coats, socks, hats, gloves and sweatshirts.
Wednesday Morning Prayer
All are welcome to pray for prayer requests from the church, as well as our community, our church, our schools, and our nation, Wednesdays, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in WC 113.

Chapel Rock’s Food Pantry operates on the first and third Thursdays, from 2 to 6 p.m. each month. Items needed are peanut butter, jelly, macaroni and cheese, canned foods, cereal, pasta and spaghetti sauce. Please place your donations in the DropZone bin in the Foyer.

BIG IDEA:
Since Jesus is the cause of the universe’s origin, His origin story (as a human) helps us make sense of and fulfill our own.

John starts the same way Moses does in Genesis. Like, literally, the same. In the Greek translation of the OT, the Septuagint, the first phrase is identical.
First, It Gives us Perspective: This is bigger than me.
