1. Forgiveness.
“Many people who repeat this prayer do not see themselves as sinners. People often pray the Lord’s Prayer with a condescending tolerance that permits them to inwardly say ‘I’m praying this along with the people who really need it.’ Thousands who say this prayer do not consider themselves guilty before God. Thus for them the Lord’s Prayer is merely an empty repetition by self-satisfied souls.” (The Sermon on the Mount, Hughes, 195).
“The greater the saint the greater is the sense of sin and the awareness of sin within.” (Studies in the Sermon on the Mount, Lloyd-Jones, 347)
2. Forgive us our sins.
3. Sin is bad.
4. Sin after salvation.

2. Find some Scriptures to discuss God's forgiveness of sin.
3. If we are forgiven for our sins, why does Jesus tell us to ask for forgiveness in the Lord's prayer? Aren't our sins taken care of once and for all?
4. How should we approach our sin after salvation?
5. What responsibility should we have for corporate sins? What are some Biblical examples of people praying for forgiveness for a group instead of just individuals?
