(2 Timothy 3:1 NLT) You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days
there will be very difficult times.

(2 Timothy 3: 14-17 NLT) But you must remain faithful to the things you
have been taught.You know they are true, for you know you can trust
those who taught you.You have been taught the holy Scriptures from
childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation
that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.All Scripture is inspired by God and
is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in
our lives.It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is
right.God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

The goal of parenting is not good behavior, but rather heart change.

(Luke 6:45 NKJV))A good man out of the good treasure of his HEART brings forth good;and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his HEART brings forth evil.For out of the abundance of the HEART his mouth speaks.

(Proverbs 4:23 NLT)“Guard your HEART above all else, for it determines the course of your life."

(Matthew 13:3-8 NLT) He told many stories in the form of parables,
such as this one:"Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds.As
he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath,and
the birds came and ate them.Other seeds fell on shallow soil with
underlying rock.The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was
shallow.But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun,and since they
didn't have deep roots,they died.Other seeds fell among thorns that
grew up and choked out the tender plants.Still other seeds fell on
fertile soil,and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a
hundred times as much as had been planted!

Matt. 13:18-19”Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the
farmer planting seeds:The seed that fell on the footpath represents
those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don't
understand it.Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed
that was planted in their hearts.

Help them understand.

(Deuteronomy 6:6-9 NLT) And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly
to these commands that I am giving you today.Repeat them again
and again to your children.Talk about them when you are at home
and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when
you are getting up.Tie them to your hands and wear them on your
forehead as reminders.Write them on the doorposts of your house
and on your gates.

(Matt. 13:20-21 NLT)The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear
the message and immediately receive it with joy. But since they don't
have deep roots, they don't last long. They fall away as soon as they
have problems or are persecuted for believing God's word.

Help them get rooted.

(Colossians 2:7 NLT) Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives
be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were
taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

The reason many young people are leaving the church is because
their parents were good at “doing church” but not good at life.

(Matt. 13:22 NLT)The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who
hear God's word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by
the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced.

Help them learn priorities.

(Matthew 6:33 NLT) Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live
righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

(Galatians 6:9 NLT) So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

Ultimately, They Belong to God!
