This is the main scripture for this series. In this passage, we see Paul teaching Timothy how to train others to handle their wealth or riches.
Paul teaches that if we have money we shouldn’t be proud. In what ways does money tend to make people prideful?
Paul then says that money is “unreliable”. What does he mean by this?
He then encourages them to use their money to do good. What are some good things that money allows us to do?
Can we be “rich in good works” with or without a lot of money? How so?
How have you seen someone be “rich in good works” recently?
Paul says we should be “generous to those in need” and that we should “always being ready to share with others.” Do you think he was only talking about monetary generosity and sharing?
How do we make sure we are being generous and sharing without enabling?
