Your best life only happens when you do life God's way.
Problem is .... we don't.
Problem is .... we don't.
(Romans 1:21-25 NLT) They knew God, but they wouldn't worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. ... As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other's bodies. They traded the truth about God for a lie. ...
• Jesus talked about money twice as much as heaven and hell.
• 16 of 38 parables Jesus shared had to do with money and possessions.
• 500+ verses about prayer and faith.
2000+ verses about money and possessions.
(Matthew 6:21 NIV) For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

We are trying to make money a physical issue... Money is spiritual issue.
Lie #1 - If i get more money, I will be safer.
Truth: There is no safety out side of God.
(Proverbs 18:11 NLT) The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; they imagine it to be a high wall of safety.
(Proverbs 11:4 MSG) A thick bankroll is no help when life falls apart, but a principled life can stand up to the worst.
(Hebrews 13:5-6 NLT) Don't love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you." So we can say with confidence, "The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?"

Lie #2 - The more stuff I get, the more people care about me.
Truth: They only care about your stuff.
(Luke 12:15 NLT) Then he said, "Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own."
(Ecclesiastes 5:10 NLT) Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness!
(Romans 4:7-8 NIV) Blessed are they whose sins are forgiven, whose wrongs are pardoned. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”

Lie #3 - My stuff is My stuff.
Truth: It all belongs to God, He is gracious to give us some.
(1 Chronicles 29:11-12 NLT) Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O LORD, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.

How do we do money God's way?
Tithing
(Leviticus 27:30 NLT) One-tenth of the produce . . . belongs to the LORD and must be set apart to him as holy.

Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How are we robbing you?' "In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse--your whole nation--because you are robbing me.
(Malachi 3:10 NIV) Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
