Locations & Times

Christ Community - Leawood Campus

14200 Kenneth Rd, Leawood, KS 66224, United States

Sunday 7:00 AM

Conversation Starters

1. Read Romans 15:1-13.

2. What does it look like for us to become a church body that “bears the weaknesses of those without strength”? What role can you play in doing this?

3. How has “Christ welcomed us” (vs 7)? What would it look like to welcome one another in a similar way? Think about the hardest person in our church for you to ‘welcome’. What would it look like to welcome them like Christ welcomes you?

4. Considering this passage in light of our passage from last week (14:1-23), what do you think it means to be a church that glorifies God with “one mind and one voice”?
Title: A Family that Persists in Unity
Reference: Romans 15:1-13
Speaker: Tom Nelson, TomN@cckc.church
What do you crave most in life? Chocolate? The Ferrari F430? A vacation in Fiji? Sex? Actually there is something each of us wants more—even more than the air we breathe: Connection. While connection may not be on our top need for immediate physical survival, our Creator has formed us in such a way that there is nothing more crucial to our long-term welfare. In fact, virtually every action we as humans take is part of the deeper attempt to connect with other humans. Even when it terrifies us. ~ Curt Thompson, Anatomy of the Soul
