n this passage Jesus is on trial by Pilate. He is asked directly if He is a king.
Jesus always seems to be at peace, even in the midst of very tense situations. How do we live in the tension of both being nervous but still at peace? Is that possible?
Do you have an example of living in that supernatural peace during chaos?
Pilate asks Jesus if He is the king of the Jews. Why do you think in that moment Jesus didn’t just say outright that He was a King?
As a king Jesus still submitted to the Roman and Jewish authorities even though He had the power to overthrow them at any time. What does this tell us about how we should act with the authorities over us?
He even claimed His followers would fight for Him if He was an earthly king. Why do we tend to want to fight for earthly kingdoms?
What does it tell us about how we should seek to change our world?
Jesus’s Kingdom is not of this world. Does that help you have peace?
