(1 Thessalonians 5:1-9 NLT) Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don't really need to write you. For you know quite well that the day of the Lord's return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, "Everything is peaceful and secure," then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman's labor pains begin. And there will be no escape. But you aren't in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won't be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. ... For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us.

God never wanted you suffer the tribulation.

God wants you to receive salvation.

Revelation Chapters 19-20

The Second Coming of Christ

(Revelation 19:11-16 NLT) Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God. The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.

Revelation Chapter 20

The Great White Throne Judgment

(Revelation 20:11-12 NLT) And I saw a great white throne and the One sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God's throne. And the bookswere opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.

Revelation Chapter 21-22

The New Heaven & New Earth

(Revelation 21:1 NLT) Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone.

1. Ephesus: Return to your first love.

(Revelation 2:4-5 NLT) "But I have this complaint against you. You don't love me or each other as you did at first! Look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first. If you don't repent, I will come and remove your lamp stand from its place among the churches.

2. Smyrna: Remain faithful.

(Revelation 2:10 NLT) Don't be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remain faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life.

3. Pergamum: Reject doctrinal extremes.

(Revelation 2:14-15 NLT) "But I have a few complaints against you. You tolerate some among you whose teaching is like that of Balaam, who showed Balak how to trip up the people of Israel. He taught them to sin by eating food offered to idols and by committing sexual sin. In a similar way, you have some Nicolaitans among you who follow the same teaching.

Jesus came full of Grace & Truth

Grace invites you to be free, so Truth can set you free.

4. Thyatira: Remove impurity.

(Revelation 2:20 NLT) "But I have this complaint against you. You are permitting that woman--that Jezebel who calls herself a prophet--to lead my servants astray. She teaches them to commit sexual sin and to eat food offered to idols.

Don't let your behavior change your theology.

Let your theologychange your behavior.

5. Sardis: Renew your purpose.

(Revelation 3:2 NLT) Wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost dead. I find that your actions do not meet the requirements of my God.

6. Philadelphia: Revere the Word of God.

(Revelation 3:8 NIV) ... I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

7. Laodicea: Repent of lukewarmness.

(Revelation 3:15-17 NLT) "I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say, 'I am rich. I have everything I want. I don't need a thing!' And you don't realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

(Revelation 3:20 NLT) "Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.
