What is something unique or descriptive about your church? The various partnerships we embrace to meet the vast needs along the 22nd Street Corridor lend themselves to creating more of a 'Hope Center' for the neighboring community in addition to sharing the hope of Jesus wherever God is leading us to represent him during the week.
What is happening within the church that you are excited about? We just celebrated our 6th birthday this past August! We will be working alongside of the University of Arizona to provide resources and relief for single-parent families during this fall season. Harvest 912 is a new partnership that we have embraced to provide quality work boots for those who are unhoused, but not before we have the opportunity to actually serve them by washing their feet. Hope City has also been developing an incredible relationship with Rabbi Avi and Congregation Bet Shalom. and together we have been serving our unhoused guests in the local parks. Hope City also partners with Praying Pelican Missions, and PPM will bring 8 teams of students (including nearly 400 people) to Tucson in 2025 to serve countless organizations all throughout the city!
What are one or two prayer needs within the church? Thank you for your prayers for God's continued favor, his presence, and his peace in the lives of all the hurting people we have the opportunity to encourage every week! And thank you for your continued prayers for God's financial provision to keep up with all of the needs we encounter in the immediate community. Also, pray for wisdom as we discern what to do next to strategically engage the youth in and around Hope City.
Anything else you'd like to share? If you know anyone who has a few 12 to 15 passenger vans they are interested in getting rid of, please let us know. Our vans are pretty old and have been struggling as of late.
