Sunday 7:00 AM
Conversation Starters
1. Read Romans 12:9-21.
2. How well do you think our community group is embodying the picture of “good” Paul outlines in this passage? How can our group grow in this lifestyle?
3. What do you find helping or hindering living in the way described here? What can you do to foster an environment in your Monday world that helps you and those around you live like this?
4. Read the passage again, slowly. Have the group close their eyes as they listen. Invite the group to pay attention to any specific phrases that stand out. With their eyes still closed, have them ask God why that particular phrase stood out. Is there something that God wants them to hear? After a short moment of silence, ask the group to open their eyes and share.

– God’s love transforms the way we treat everyone.
– God’s love for us in Jesus makes us secure.
– God’s love in us among the body makes us beautiful.
– God’s love through us to the world makes us overcome evil with good.

– God loves us enough to make us beautifully different with our minds.
When we read the Gospels about Jesus, then, what do we see? … Particularly impressive to readers over the centuries has been what one writer has called ‘an admirable conjunction of diverse excellencies in Jesus Christ.’ That is, in him we see qualities and virtues we would ordinarily consider incompatible in the same person. We would never think they could be combined but, because they are, they are strikingly beautiful. ~ Tim Keller,
