Locations & Times

Christ Community - Downtown Campus

208 W 19th St, Kansas City, MO 64108, USA

Sunday 7:00 AM

Conversation Starters

1. Read Romans 12:3-8

2. What about the “body” makes it an appropriate metaphor for the church? What’s the connection between Christ’s body and our bodies as living sacrifices (12:1-2)?

3. Spend some time considering a few gifts that God has given to you. What are they? How do you (or how can you start) using them to bless the body of Christ?

4. Name some ways you have been blessed by the gifts of others in this community group (or the church), specifically by gifts that you don’t possess.
Title: A Self-Giving Family
Reference: Romans 12:3-8
Speaker: Gabe Coyle, GabeC@cckc.church
– We’ll never be enough until we see we belong in a bigger body.
– You’re ONLY a part of a bigger body.
– You ARE a part of a bigger body.
– Where has God given you to belong to HIS body?
– Be who God has given you to be in HIS body.
If you preach, just preach God’s Message, nothing else; if you help, just help, don’t take over; if you teach, stick to your teaching; if you give encouraging guidance, be careful that you don’t get bossy; if you’re put in charge, don’t manipulate; if you’re called to give aid to people in distress, keep your eyes open and be quick to respond; if you work with the disadvantaged, don’t let yourself get irritated with them or depressed by them. Keep a smile on your face. (Romans 12:6-8, The Message)
